Donna Vanhook is a lifelong resident of Alamance County, dedicated to serving her community through leadership, faith, and action. Raised in the East Burlington community of Morgantown and after fourth grade on family land in Saxapahaw, Donna has developed strong networks in the county. With a diverse background in law enforcement, ordained ministry, and community organizing, Donna brings a unique perspective to local governance. She holds degrees from Alamance Community College, Elon University, Shaw University Divinity School, and High Point University graduate school. Donna has served as an associate pastor and a certified police officer. Her work with organizations like Down Home NC and NC Black Alliance has cultivated her commitment to democracy and community empowerment. Currently, she is an elected supervisor for the Alamance County Soil and Water Conservation District board.
